Already, Yet and Still Use in English

Already: (پہلے سے)

Use: Used to refer to some a situation that takes place before speaking!

!جب یہ بتانا ہو کہ کوئی کام پہلے سے ہو چکا ہے

Examples:

It’s seven o clock in already.	پہلے سے سات بجے ہیں۔
I already have visited him.	میں پہلے ہی اس کے ہاں جا چکا ہوں۔
She has already ahs cooked a meal.	وہ پہلے سے کھانا بنا چکی ہے۔
I have already seen this movie.	میں پہلے ہی یہ فلم دیکھ چکا ہوں۔

Yet: (ابھی تک)

Use: Used to talk ask if something is expected to happen or not.
ایسا کام کے بارے میں سوال کرنا کہ کوئی کام جسکی توقع کی جائے وہ ہوا یا نہیں۔

Examples:

She has not yet decided.	اس نے ابھی تک فیصلہ نہیں کیا۔
I have not yet gone to the market.	میں ابھی تک بازار نہیں گیا۔
They have not traveled yet.	انہوں نے ابھی تک سفر نہیں کیا۔

Still: (ابھی بھی)

Use: Used to talk about an action that happens longer than expected.

ایسے کام کے بارے میں بات کرنا جو توقع سے زیادہ دیر ہو ا ہو۔

Examples:

I’m still happy.	میں ابھی تک خوش ہوں۔
She is still learning English.	وہ ابھی تک انگلش سیکھ رہی ہے۔
He is still doing this job.	وہ ابھی تک یہ کام کر رہا ہے۔
It is still raining.	بارش ابھی تک ہو رہی ہے۔
